Welcome to Clarkson Community High School

Clarkson Community High School is a proud Independent Public School with a focus on “high care, high expectations”.  Our school community empowers students to build the confidence, values and skills as lifelong learners, to achieve their personal best for a successful future.

High quality teaching, a positive and orderly learning environment, and family partnerships are critical to student success. We offer a caring and supporting environment that meets the learning needs and aspirations of our students, recognising that success means different things for different students. We value and encourage student voice and support students to drive positive change within the school.

As a Community High School, we highly value our connections with our local primary schools, and with the community more broadly, to ensure that our students experience a smooth transition into high school and a strong sense of connection to our school and to their community. We are driven by our shared values: Care, Optimism, Respect and Trust.

As the Principal of Clarkson Community High School, I invite you to contact our dedicated staff to discuss how we can work together to ensure your child flourishes and achieves success.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. I further acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have nurtured and educated children on this land for thousands of years.

Leah Crawford, Principal

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Yesterday, we proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week with a day full of culture, language, and connection.
Our students began the day with a powerful Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Derek Nannup, setting a meaningful tone for what was to come.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of hands-on activities, including
🎨 Jewellery and magnet making
🧠 Indigenous Heroes trivia quiz
🔥 Damper making
🏃 Aboriginal sports games
🖌️ A collaborative art project designed by Aboriginal artist Bella McGill
To close the celebration, we were deeply honoured to welcome Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse. Their incredible performance, delivered through song and Noongar language, was nothing short of unforgettable — a moment we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Do you have school uniforms your child has outgrown or no longer wears? We'd love to take them off your hands.
We're collecting gently used uniforms to pass on to families who could use them. If you have any to donate, please send them into the school front office — let’s give them a new home!
Thank you for supporting our school community.
