Welcome to Clarkson Community High School

Clarkson Community High School is a proud Independent Public School with a focus on “high care, high expectations”.  Our school community empowers students to build the confidence, values and skills as lifelong learners, to achieve their personal best for a successful future.

High quality teaching, a positive and orderly learning environment, and family partnerships are critical to student success. We offer a caring and supporting environment that meets the learning needs and aspirations of our students, recognising that success means different things for different students. We value and encourage student voice and support students to drive positive change within the school.

As a Community High School, we highly value our connections with our local primary schools, and with the community more broadly, to ensure that our students experience a smooth transition into high school and a strong sense of connection to our school and to their community. We are driven by our shared values: Care, Optimism, Respect and Trust.

As the Principal of Clarkson Community High School, I invite you to contact our dedicated staff to discuss how we can work together to ensure your child flourishes and achieves success.

I acknowledge the Wadjak Noongar people and the Country that our school stands on. We pay our respects to their Elders – past, present and emerging – and recognise their ongoing connection to water, land and community.

Leah Crawford, Principal

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Last Friday we celebrated International Women’s Day at Clarkson Community High School with our “Give to Gain” Career Conversations event. 💜
Held in Kaartdijin Miya, the session brought students together with inspiring guest speakers from a range of industries. In small rotating groups, students had the opportunity to ask questions and hear real career journeys, exploring topics such as transferable skills, educational pathways, work–life balance, and the realities of different professions.
We were especially proud to highlight women working in non-traditional roles, helping our female secondary students see the wide range of opportunities available to them and encouraging them to think about their own future career pathways.
A big thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their time, experiences, and advice with our students.

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Last week we welcomed the families of our Year 7 cohort for 2026. Along with a sausage sizzle, students introduced their parents to their teachers and talked about the engaging classes they have had so far this year. We are very proud of the way this group has settled in and contributed to the orderly learning environment and culture of high expectations at Clarkson. It was also great to acknowledge the families for their work at home supporting their child's transition to high school.
