Welcome to Clarkson Community High School

Clarkson Community High School is a proud Independent Public School with a focus on “high care, high expectations”.  Our school community empowers students to build the confidence, values and skills as lifelong learners, to achieve their personal best for a successful future.

High quality teaching, a positive and orderly learning environment, and family partnerships are critical to student success. We offer a caring and supporting environment that meets the learning needs and aspirations of our students, recognising that success means different things for different students. We value and encourage student voice and support students to drive positive change within the school.

As a Community High School, we highly value our connections with our local primary schools, and with the community more broadly, to ensure that our students experience a smooth transition into high school and a strong sense of connection to our school and to their community. We are driven by our shared values: Care, Optimism, Respect and Trust.

As the Principal of Clarkson Community High School, I invite you to contact our dedicated staff to discuss how we can work together to ensure your child flourishes and achieves success.

I acknowledge the Wadjak Noongar people and the Country that our school stands on. We pay our respects to their Elders – past, present and emerging – and recognise their ongoing connection to water, land and community.

Leah Crawford, Principal

Photos from Clarkson Community High School's post Today the Year 9 & 10 cohort attended the "One Moment: I Live My Life Without A Knife" presentation by Brett and Belinda Beasley from the Jack Beasley Foundation, who have partnered with the Joondalup District Police to deliver educational sessions across 20 local schools. Brett and Belinda shared their powerful and personal message, educating young people about the serious risks and consequences of carrying a knife in public, following the tragic death of their son, Jack, aged 17 in 2019 as the result of a knife related incident on the Gold Coast. Jack’s legacy has led to ‘Jack’s Law’, which provides WA Police with the authority to conduct edged weapon scans to detect those carrying knives in public. Students were engaged, captivated and genuinely moved by the presentation.
This initiative is a critical step in reducing knife related harm and empowering young people to make safer choices.
