Our Y7/8 and Y9/10 netball teams recently participated in the Netball WA Multicultural Carnival, which supports diversity in sport.

There were 112 different teams at the carnival and the girls competed against other WA schools including Belridge, Ashdale, Atwell, Ellenbrook and Melville.

The Year 9/10 team won 2 out of 5 games! All girls played exceptionally well, and represented the school with dignity. Well done, girls!

On Wednesday the 13th of November 18 brave Year 9 students ventured north on a grueling trip to Butler College to challenge them in two epic volleyball matches.

After minimal warm-up time the Year 9 girls and boys were underway in their respective matches. The girls got off to a flyer and found themselves 10 points up in the early stages of the first set before Butler clicked into gear and brought the score back to a thrilling 26-24 first set, which fell the way of Clarkson. The teams then swapped sides and, with the help of a run of good serves, Butler managed to sew up the second set leaving the scores locked at 1-1. Finding themselves five points down early in the 3rd and final set, the Clarkson girls rallied together and found a way to win by 3 points (25-22).

Congratulations to Year 9 student Georgia Lovett on achieving an amazing 1st place in the 13+ Jollettes Gymnastics State Championships at Loftus Recreation Centre, Leederville. Georgia competed in several events such as beam, floor, bars and trampet. We are extremely proud of her!

Friday the 19th of October saw a group of 31 students and 3 staff members represent Clarkson at the 2018 State School WA Inter-School Athletics competition. This gave our students a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against some very promising young talented athletes as well as shine a light onto our school. They achieved both admirably.

We ended the day in 4th place, which was our best placing in the last 3 years and, if not for some administrative errors, we could have cracked the top 3!

Congratulations to Clarkson student Trinity Miller for being selected to represent Western Australia in the 2015 State Touch Rugby Team!
