The winners from each year group are as follows:
Protecting children in their digital worlds is an ever-evolving task for Australian families. Now more than ever parents are looking for guidance on how to manage screen time and navigate the world of games and social media. We are therefore pleased to help our parent community by offering a crucial and engaging education session with ySafe, Australia’s leading provider of cyber safety education.
This practical, strategy-rich session will cover the most important points that all families need to know about online safety, covering key information about social media and gaming, screen time recommendations, and step-by-step instructions on how to set up a cyber-safe home for kids of all ages.
Today, the Clarkson CHS Community farewell a beloved member of staff, Penny Rickerby.
Penny was a valued and much-loved member of the Clarkson Team for 25 years. She worked tirelessly as our Lab Technician and will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help others.
It's Science Week, and today we ran our annual STEM event for our local primary schools called The Clarkson Challenge.
This year the theme was "Minecraft Sustainable Cities". Teams of students from Clarkson, Merriwa and Somerly Primary Schools came to learn about what makes a sustainable city, then designed and built their cities in their own Minecraft worlds.
Each team presented their cities to a panel of judges, and the winning team won free tickets to Sci-Tech, and the Clarkson Challenge trophy!
The CCHS community are very excited to welcome new staff members to the Clarkson team.
Our new team members are (left to right) Nigel Bateman - Deputy Principal Years 7-9 and Teaching & Learning, Jo Tickner - Student Support Officer, Jen Bottomley - Acting Head of Learning Area for English/HASS/Languages, Emily Anstey - Science/Mathematics Teacher, and Andrew Wallace - Design & Technology Technician (not pictured).
Our Semester 1 Parent-Teacher Interview afternoon will be held on Wednesday 29 June from 1 pm to 6 pm in the library. Bookings are now open in Compass via the website or app in the Conferences section. If required, step-by-step help for bookings is available within the system after login, or from our downloads section.
The Year 10 Parent Information Evening will also be held in the staff room at 5.30 pm.
We look forward to seeing you there!
