Dear Parents/ Guardians and Students

It is important that with the cooler weather approaching that we remind students of the need to adhere to the School Uniform Policy.

Dress Requirements For Students
All students are required to adhere to the Department of Education’s Dress Requirements for Students policy.
Dress requirements for students enhance the public’s image of our school and have a positive impact on a student’s self-esteem. They also enhance a student’s sense of belonging and pride in the school community. In addition, from a safety and security aspect, dress requirements are a useful means of identifying whether an individual on school grounds has a right to be there.

In our school, the School Council has developed a school uniform, in consultation with the students and staff.

  • The school colours are navy blue and teal.  No jeans or hooded garments are permitted to be worn.
  • Changing into the school sports uniform is compulsory when participating in Physical Education activities.

On Friday 16 March 2018, Australian schools will stand united in their communities to celebrate the eighth National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA).

The National Day of Action is Australia’s key anti-bullying event for schools and in 2018; schools are called to imagine a world free from bullying.

Clarkson Community High School has registered for this event and will be conducting activities throughout the day.

Clarkson Community High School is holding a Year 7 Parent/Teacher BBQ on Wednesday, 14th March 2018 at the school between 3.45pm and 4.45pm. The school will provide a sausage sizzle and drink for parents and students.

The aims of the evening are to:

  • Allow parents to meet some of their children’s teachers
  • Introduce parents to some key staff members at the school
  • Take parents on a tour of the school
  • Make parents more familiar with the upcoming NAPLAN testing
  • Provide parents with information on school processes, procedures and policies.

The afternoon will be quite informal and is not planned as a ‘Reporting’ session for teachers to provide feedback on student academic progress. There will be a more formal parent report afternoon on Wednesday, 28th March where parents can make appointments with specific teachers to discuss their child’s academic progress. We hope to see you there!

On Wednesday 3rd May, we had a fantastic evening meeting our NZ parents who have students attending our school.

The aim was to build a rapport with teachers, parents and students.
