Clarkson Community High School continues to use it's technology facilities to improve outcomes in literacy and numeracy. With the new laptop program well underway, teachers are now embracing the easily-accessible internet into their lessons. In addition to the school's "Moodle" online learning management system, the school now has access to the very popular and useful "Your Tutor" website.

English teacher Francene Challen writes, "Your Tutor consists of different instructional and testing aspects, which benefit students and their teachers.  Students have the opportunity to build on their skills in Literacy, Numeracy and NAPLAN-based practice quizzes by logging on to the site at any time using individual passwords.  Teachers can access student work and monitor progress.

English and Maths teachers are able to set curriculum related activities for students.  These activities may be completed at home or school.  Teachers can then access the calculated results in numbers and percentages, for analysis and recording.

The benefits of this site are numerous.  As well as ‘Skills-Builder’ and teacher-generated activities, there are thousands of ready-to-use, syllabus-correlated questions for students.  Students may even contact an on-line tutor for assistance with their homework."

Students can access the Your Tutor website from home at http://yourtutor.com.au/
