Welcome to Clarkson Community High School

Clarkson Community High School is a proud Independent Public School with a focus on “high care, high expectations”.  Our school community empowers students to build the confidence, values and skills as lifelong learners, to achieve their personal best for a successful future.

High quality teaching, a positive and orderly learning environment, and family partnerships are critical to student success. We offer a caring and supporting environment that meets the learning needs and aspirations of our students, recognising that success means different things for different students. We value and encourage student voice and support students to drive positive change within the school.

As a Community High School, we highly value our connections with our local primary schools, and with the community more broadly, to ensure that our students experience a smooth transition into high school and a strong sense of connection to our school and to their community. We are driven by our shared values: Care, Optimism, Respect and Trust.

As the Principal of Clarkson Community High School, I invite you to contact our dedicated staff to discuss how we can work together to ensure your child flourishes and achieves success.

I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. I further acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have nurtured and educated children on this land for thousands of years.

Leah Crawford, Principal

INVITATION TO FAMILIES – Supporting Our Students Through the Social Media Restrictions
Armed for Life, a wellbeing organisation specialising in building resilience, positive mental health, and life skills in young people, will be at Clarkson Community High School on Tuesday 25th November from 2:00–3:00pm. They will be delivering an important presentation about the upcoming social media restriction and how students, families, and staff can prepare.
The session will support students to:
• Understand screen addiction and its impacts
• Build healthy habits and begin reducing excessive screen use
• Learn practical coping strategies to manage the transition
• Strengthen their wellbeing and resilience as the new rules come into effect
Families are warmly invited to attend to gain insight into what students will be learning and to explore how we, as the adults around them, can best support them now and when the restriction is introduced.
Families attending are asked to arrive by 1:50pm to allow for a prompt 2:00pm start.
We hope you can join us for this valuable, student-centred session.
