It was an absolute privilege to share an evening with the graduating Class of 2019 last night. We were also very grateful to former student and senior associate in Jackson & McDonald's property litigation team Belinda Giles for agreeing to be the keynote speaker.

Heads of Departments and special guests presented many high achievement awards. The subject award winners were as follows:

Undoubtedly the most prestigious and sought after award at any ceremony such as this is the award of DUX of the school. It demonstrates not only exceptional academic ability, but also application and perseverance. Mr Mark Folkard MLA for Burns Beach presented the Dux award to Rhaeleen Hoban-Dyster.

The All-Rounder Award, which recognises a students all-round contribution to their school and community, was also presented by Mr Folkard to Viviann Nou.

Kaiza Metuariki and Viviann Nou sang a beautiful rendition of "Diamonds" by Rhianna

Ms Hurcom presented the Department of Education Commitment to Excellence award to Zac Smith, who unfortunately could not make it to the event.

Mayor of Wanneroo Tracey Roberts was very kind to come along and present the City of Wanneroo Citizenship awards to Brandon Talbot and Olivia Liddiard.

Ms Cara MacArthur from RAF Pearce gave a great speech before presenting Jhameika Bradford with the Long Tan Award.

Jordan Tyndall was the winner of the VET Award presented by VET Coordinator Corrine Pryce and Brandon Willis-Moore won the Sportsperson of the Year presented by Mr Liam Mooney.

Deputy Principal Geraint Davies presented the Porter Leadership Award (from Christian Porter MP for Pearce) to Kaiza Metuariki and Emily Lowry won the prestigious ECU Award.

We would like to thank all the special guests for attending and their long-standing support of our school. It was a very well-attended event by many parents, teachers and students and the Year 12 graduating class of 2019 did the school proud with their superb presentation and demeanor.

All the staff at Clarkson Community High School wish the Class of 2019 every success for the future - they will be sorely missed!
