They were tasked to design, produce and exhibit an appetiser, which required setting up a vegetable charcuterie cup and mini meatball on a spoon.
The criteria for success included a healthy product to be eaten by all ages, must be finger food, colourful, layered, include a range of textures, be innovative and interesting to the eye.

Kaya Clarkson CHS Families,
As many of you are aware, the storm and flooding that occurred in our suburb on Friday has impacted Somerly PS. There is further clean up and repairs that are needed to be carried out before Somerly PS students can safely return to school. This means that Somerly PS site will be closed this week.
Clarkson CHS will be used as an alternative school site for Somerly PS students who cannot be kept at home. Supervision of a modified instructional program will be provided by Somerly PS staff for any Somerly PS students who attend. Somerly PS staff and School Leadership will be on CCHS site to support any Somerly PS families or students who attend.
Please note, Clarkson CHS students will have a regular school day with no interruption to planned programs.

They met with our Clarkson CHS Board Chair, Mark Folkard MLA, and later joined in the Zumba class.

Resilience and determination were also key factors that helped achieve this great result, with team work showing through in spades. Go Spartans!

CCHS is proud to open our brand new purpose-built Esports/STEM room complete with student-built PCs for gaming and 3D printers to encourage and promote design and manufacturing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).

Esports is a great way for students to learn online etiquette, a team-oriented mindset, sportsmanship and leadership skills, providing opportunities for students of all year groups get to work together and build lasting friendships .

We will also be one of the first schools in the country to add two brand new Flashforge Creator Pro2 3D printers to our fleet in order to provide a lunchtime drop-in facility for students to print their designs.

What an awesome new addition to the school! The photos below show a before and after view of the room to show the amazing transformation.

Esports sessions run on Wednesdays after school. Students who are interested - please see Network Assistant Mitch Perry for more details.

Following on from the successful and highly useful Cyber Safety presentations held at our school, Clarkson CHS has teamed up with ySafe to provide parents with a special Online Safety Hub.

This fantastic resource supports the school community by providing practical insights and advice directly from internationally renowned Online Safety and Digital Wellness Experts.

It contains online safety information guides, "deep dives" into all the main social media apps, blogs and articles, tutorials on setting up parental controls on devices, as well advice on dealing with various online issues, reporting incidents, and counselling and support.
