Clarkson Community High School students now have their own parcel of bushland to protect, after officially adopting Ridgewood Reserve.

Clarkson Community High School was selected for a pilot program aimed at improving attendance.

The "It All Starts At School" attendance program was introduced at ten WA schools, including Clarkson.

Clarkson Community High School has formed a special bond with its surrounding community and the City of Wanneroo.

It is using real street signs provided by the City in the school grounds - and to name its communities.

15 Clarkson Community High School students are days away from completing a Certificate II in Sports Coaching thanks to a 20-week program developed by the West Coast Academy for Aboriginal Sport, Health and Education (AASHE). 

"A lot of Aboriginal students are keen on sport but don't have an avenue to turn this passion into a profession," said AASHE Principal Lecturer Paul Ahearn.

A Vocational Education and Training exercise conducted by the Forest Products Commission is trying to inspire youth to a career in the State's timber industry.

Year 10 students from Clarkson Community High School were given a tour of Pinjar pine plantation near Yanchep.

They were introduced to the timber workers, shown equipment used in the $1.1 billion industry and told about the range of career opportunities in forestry - from machine operators to mechanics, nursery technicians, science officers, environment managers and compliance personnel. 

The season might have ended several weeks ago, but there has been no easing off for the girl's soccer team at Clarkson Community High School.

Skills and fitness training will continue during the summer as the team seeks to go one better and become WA's best schoolgirls soccer team.

Northern suburbs students have been acknowledged in the annual State Government "Best and Brightest" awards for academic and vocational excellence.

Kira McPherson and Rachael Howe from Clarkson Community High School were among 167 high-achieving students from public schools around the State awarded $1000 for their efforts, in the fourth year of the awards.

Clarkson Community High School students participated in Literacy & Numeracy Week last Thursday, reading picture books to a group of children.

The Year 8 students visited Horizons Childhood Learning Centre in Clarkson.

Clarkson Community High School students have won major awards in the sea-themed poster competition for the 2008 Mindarie Festival.

Other local schools in the competition included Peter Moyes Anglican Community and Clarkson Primary schools.

Clarkson CHS Year 10 student Mason Willoughby won the overall design category for the most striking design with his poster that incorporated 3D objects, including shells and different textures to enhance the look of marina life and sea dragons.
