90.91% of our Year 12 students in 2019 achieved the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
Firstly, we have shown improvement from 2018, when we scored 81% attainment rate.
Secondly, across both public and private schools, the average is 91.33% - so we’re very close to the rest of the state!
If a student doesn’t achieve Band 8 in NAPLAN in Year 9, they must sit OLNA until they “pass”.
For our 2019 graduating cohort, we achieved the 3rd biggest gains IN THE STATE from Year 9 to Year 12 in both Numeracy and Reading!

The last day of school for students in 2019 is Thursday 19 December and school starts again on Monday 3 February 2020.

Yesterday, CCHS held NAIDOC day celebrations and activities, taking advantage of the weather in November rather than July.
Yesterday, Clarkson Community High School welcomed Year 6 students from Clarkson, Merriwa, Quinns Rocks, East Butler and Somerly Primary Schools for the Year 7 Orientation Day.
Maths teacher Dr Steven Laing presents Year 7 Maths Pathway students with certificates for significant improvement.

This week Clarkson put on a special whole-school sports carnival in aid of the NSW Fire Appeal. The staff and students raised over $280 with a lunchtime sausage sizzle and the school donated the food.
