2014 is the biggest year on record for technology investment at Clarkson Community High School.
As you may have read previously in The Bulletin, Clarkson sees itself as a technology-focused school when it comes to teaching and learning. More and more teachers are using our Moodle online course delivery system so that students can access and submit work from anywhere and at any time and more and more students are benefiting from learning advanced technology skills than ever before.
It is also the first year ever that every student and every teacher has been loaned a Macbook laptop computer for their studies and work. This means that everyone has access to super-fast broadband from anywhere in the school and have a powerful tool at their fingertips to assist them with their learning.
For four years now Clarkson Community High School has challenged the thinking ability, public speaking skills and pride of our partner primary schools. The Clarkson Challenge has become an event that our whole community looks forward to.
At 15 years-old, Jack Porter is already being compared to his idol Fremantle Dockers star Stephen Hill.
The Clarkson Community High School student, who lives and breaths AFL, has been nominated by the Times’ as a HBF Junior Sports Hero for his talent and positive attitude on and off the field.

A large part of the ethos at Clarkson Community High School is Invitational Education (William Purkey). The five P's of Invitational Education stand for people, places, policies, programs and processes and these provide the means to address the global nature of the school in terms of inviting students to learn and creating a safe learning environment.
The MATE program (Make A Total Effort) is an initiative that fits perfectly in our invitational ethos. It rewards high achievement by setting goals towards grade point average and good standing (behaviour).
The Lions Club’s Alkimos Butler branch president Debra Smith presented Clarkson Community High School with $479.40 this month to supply its uniform exchange program.
Further testament to the success of the rugby league program at Clarkson Community High School is the selection of three more players to the State team.
Kawana Jones, Amos Manu and Damian Darlington have been selected for the Under 16 State rugby league squad. Congratulations, boys!
