At Clarkson CHS we have a developed a whole-school approach to behaviour management and a framework of positive behaviour support for all students (School-wide Positive Behaviour Support).
In consultation with the school community we have developed the Positive Behaviour Support Plan 2012 that reflects a proactive, positive and restorative approach to solving problems, resolving conflict and improving behaviour.

Our Year 10 Childcare girls recently participated in the Medicare Local "Baby Think It Over" program, designed to prevent teenage pregnancy. Each girl was handed a virtual baby for two days and nights to gain experience in looking after a child.
Clarkson Community High School is changing its domain name to reflect the change in name from the Department of Education & Training to the Department of Education. This means that our old domain name clarksonchs.det.wa.edu.au will change to clarksonchs.wa.edu.au on December 13th 2011.

About 100 Clarkson students enjoyed a carnival atmosphere at school recently as a reward for high attendance levels.
Clarkson Community High School Damien Croxford said students who had achieved a 97 per cent attendance rate or higher, participated in the carnival as part of the ‘It all starts at school’ program.
My name is Tashai van Niekerk and on the 28th of October I had the honour and opportunity of performing in front of the Queen of England and the 52 presidents and prime ministers of all the commonwealth countries at CHOGM 2011 (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting).
On that day, I walked into the office and the teachers gave me a letter from the government saying that I got nominated to perform. From that moment, my life was changed.
STUDENTS and donors enjoyed a garden party at Clarkson Community High School after the recent delivery of a water tank. Butler firefighters filled the tank, donated by Bunnings, with water after it arrived on Monday, November 7.
Learning Centre teacher Sophie Sherlock said the water would enable students to continue gardening through summer.
The West Coast Institute of Training Trades North campus next door to Clarkson Community High School offers a multitude of construction and engineering trades training programs.

In the past there have been a fair few negative comments made about Clarkson Community High School and the students who attend here, but today I am very proud to say that, once again, our students have proved the naysayers wrong.
